Strength In Numbers

The C.H.I.L.D. Chapter of Scotch Plains Fanwood provides services and advocates for ALL the children and their families where there is a learning difference or challenge.  In the Scotch Plains Fanwood school system alone that's about 1000 children that have been evaluated and are benefiting from supports and interventions to meet their education, social and emotional needs through an Individual Education Plan under IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act).  Many more students are also receiving help under ADA's Section 504 (Americans with Disabilities Act) and through the Scotch Plains-Fanwood School District's Intervention and Referral Services (I & RS/PAC)

Your support is greatly appreciated and helps us to:

> Organize and plan for monthly programs, speakers and materials for you
> Continue to promote advocacy and awareness
> Continue to provide you with resources and support
> Availability of our website that is loaded with lots of help and information
> Provide programs for the children of SP & F with a learning difference or disability
> An actual person to speak with if you need any kind of help or email
> Provide Certificates for Professional Development Hours for Registered Professionals

The C.H.I.L.D. Chapter of Scotch Plains Fanwood can't even begin to accomplish these tasks at hand without your help and support.

Registration is easy and costs so very little.  Registration is from September thru August -

Families : Only $15.00 annually or whatever a family can afford ... That's right, Registration is per family, NOT per person.

Professionals - $15.00 per semester.  Registered Professionals will earn a Certificate of Professional Development Hours for each program they attend at our location at the conclusion of the original presentation.

And that's not all, working cooperatively with select local businesses, we are arranging for discounts or exclusive offers every time you show your I support C.H.I.L.D. Registration Card.

Fun Fact – Jack Horner, Paleontologist & Professor at Montana State U. has found more fossils, pioneered more technologies & postulated more theories about dinosaurs than anyone else - yet doesn’t have a U degree having flunked out 7 times due to his learning difference! He was also the model used for scientist “Allen Grant” in Jurassic Park.
